Asia’s Chief Executive Perspectives
The Asia Business Council’s fourth annual survey revealed that members have a more optimistic economic outlook and believe the worst is over. The survey also asked about overall investment plans and trends affecting the Asian business environment and the executives’ own businesses.
Highlights of the survey findings are as follows:
- 67% of survey respondents believe that business conditions in Asia would improve, compared with only 6% in 2008. However, recession remains a concern.
- The largest proportion of members still invested in China and India, but an increasing proportion of members invested in Indonesia, ranking it as the third top investment location
- Finance and business issues are top concerns for respondents, followed by oil and gas prices
