Working for the economic development and competitiveness of Asia in the global marketplace

The Asia Business Council is an independent organization of top executives, typically from leading Asian companies or multinational corporations with significant Asian operations, who share an interest in the policies needed to ensure the continued economic development and competitiveness of the region. The Council conducts research on issues that are important to Asia’s future. The Council is funded by its members and has no government affiliation.

The Council has created a unique peer group whose members shape the regional and global agenda on key issues from trade to energy to development, with a goal of ensuring long-term, sustainable growth in the region.

The Council was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Hong Kong.
